Thank you for providing the explanation, it works as per your description .
Yes, I also noticed this last night, after I had posted. But I find the filtering somewhat confusing due to the way it’s laid out and spread out so much, so at first wasn’t sure why it didn’t show 9/9 any more.
It would be useful to see how many were active or disabled though (though I appreciate there’s a filter for disabled items too).
In an effort to fix the broken 24-hour scale when setting the time of day, I deleted some of the UI package folders and then repaired by sim via the Xbox App (thinking some of my initial downloads from launch day may have been corrupted). I also used the ‘Reset’ option in the Windows App Settings. It didn’t fix the 24-hour scale, but it did cause all the POIs in all the World Updates to be enabled by default, after the sim had fired up and reinitialised everything. So I believe they should be enabled by default, at least on a fresh install.
This is how I discovered this, I was filtering by ‘disabled’ because I wanted to enable a Marketplace aircraft and saw the WU categories being listed and thought ‘huh!?’
@Gromit1065 @DementedCorn327 @Mustang242Sqn @CD0139 (and anyone else reading) I’ve escalated this issue to the Community Managers because it seems to be an issue for absolutely everyone, that these two (UK and USA) POI components are disabled by default for no apparent reason
Good to escalate to try to get it fixed but I’m pretty sure the underlying issue is that it’s part of their update process for this type of file. Both these POI files have been recently updated. I see no good reason why they should be disabled though. A/c updates are introduced with no notification and remain enabled. Difficult to understand when it’s so inconsistant across the board.
Bottom line, if my suspicion is right, the POI update process needs to be changed to leave this type of file enabled after updates. If there happens to be some reason why they have to be disabled we need to be notified about the updates so we can enable them ourselves.
Road and Railroad Bridges are not shown, Streets ends in Water in MSFS 2024.
Bug is on every Load/Start, also on the World Map the Bridges not show.
