I tried the sim after the update on 5/6th march and the bridges (shown here on a previous screenshot) are missing totally. Plz look carefully down the back of the sofa and see if you can put them back.
This is most likely the more general regression of many missing 3D models described here:
I expected many more poeple would stumble over it now that the bridges are âofficiallyâ broken (that is, the regression made it into the SU 1 release). I tried to draw the devâs attention to this imho severe regression in time, but to no avail. Maybe it helps if you vote over there too.
I think you and DenmentedCorn 327 are talking about MSFS â2020â but this thread is about MSFS 2024. So I happen to have both sims and use them both often.
In 2020 there is no problem but the bridges (streamed in like all scenery in '24) are missing. That was my point.
Oh I didnât know there was such a thing. I will look for it - meanwhile I thought we were only on sim update 1 or perhaps 2 at most - the one about a week ago
thanks for explainng. I started '24 yesterday and looked at the menus shown (I presume they didât exist before and everything was streamed at us. Anyway actvated some inc Uk and bridges are back. I am still wondering why all scenery isnât activated by default if it is streamed as and when we are âthereâ.
Where it shows â9/9 itemsâ, I canât understand what those two numbers mean if one of them should not indicate the number of active packages?! If it showed â8/9â then it would be quite apparent that something was turned offâŚ
I have noticed missing POIs during my brief looks at 2024 and simply chalked it up as yet another 2024 problem, having even checked that all my World Updates were fully enabled (as far as the first digit equalled the second digit).
Good point, I also think the 1st number should indicate the number of enabled packages. If one is disabled, the number should be reduced to just show the active ones. So could be a bug, I searched for an existing report but unsuccessful so far.
The first number is the number of items in the package that meet your search criteria or filters. With no search string or filters selected it shows all the items.
Select the disabled filter and this would show 1/9 if the POI is the only item disabled in WU3.
I suspect that the POI file was updated and was reset to disabled at that time. I noticed that many of the London POI LOD issues were fixed recently.
