Any chance when you close a thread that you put the notice at the TOP of the thread instead of the bottom?
It’s kinda aggravating to read an entire thread, get ready to reply to it, then see the “Thread Closed” at the bottom.

There is a visual clue already available beside the topic title that tells you if the thread is locked- a padlock will be visible to indicate the topic is locked … e.g.
Also, when browsing for topics in the forum category view, locked threads also have this padlock before the title. E.g.
It would also be good if you could stop with the over zealous thread locking when posts go ever so slightly off topic, threads always have a tendency to move around the topic and that’s been the case since forums became a thing back in the 1990s!
