Foveated rendering for Tobii?

As this is being done for VR, I’m guessing it should be possible, maybe even easier to do for Tobii users and their flat screens as well?

Without ever having tried VR and having just barely some idea about foveated rendering, for flat screens, wont the size of focus area depend on factors like size of screen, distance from screen and such parameters?

For VR, i assume it’s safe to assume that in all setups, the focus area remains very similar.

There’s a discussion about this. However, I doubt there’s much to be gained from what I’m able to tell.
