I am looking for an “in headset” FPS indicator. I know that OpenXR Toolkit provides the feature but… well it is deprecated now. And there is also the default FPS tool from the game itself, which is perfect but in VR it cannot be read as it is stuck in the top right corner of an eye. For now I use Smooth Flight on a 2nd screen which I read in real (i.e. not through the headset) through the small hole between my noze and the headset. Anyone has a better option?
Thanks !
Yes the OpenXr toolkit is “depreased” but still works great and still has more options then the most native software, with all major Headsets. In steam there is a tool “FPSVR” but this tool only display’s info in the headset in SteamVR mode.
Oculus (meta) has also a simular tool.
Just because an app no longer receives support, it doesn’t mean it suddenly stops working. OpenXR Toolkit works perfectly well with a variety of headsets in MSFS 2020, no reason not to use it currently.
