Greetings! I have rebuilt my cockpit with the following:
Win 10 - 64
Motherboard: ASUS Z790 PRIME
CPU: I9-13900K
RAM: Corsair - 48 GB 7000
GRAPHICS: Asus GeForce RTX 4090
HD: Samsung nVme 2TB
Sound: Onboard Realtec + Soundblaster Audigy 5
MONITOR: 3X 43" Sony 4K TV’s
RealSimGear G1000 Suite
HoneyComb ALPHA & BRAVO Yoke & Throttle
Logitech Rudder Pedals
Next Level Racing Cockpit seat with BUTTKICKER
ALESIS Dual M1 ACTIVE Mk2 Powered Sound Monitors
After tweeking the new system, I find a new issue that I didn’t have on my 2080ti / I9-9900KF system.
Each SONY TV has HDMI Ports, NO DP. I have the main / front SONY TV and the left one plugged into the 4090 HDMI ports. The CENTER TV is set at 3840X2160 120hz Resolution. The SONY TV 's to the left is set at 1920 X 1080 120hz.
With the 4090, there are only 2 HDMI ports and 2 DP ports. I am able to set the refresh rate on the two side HDMI port TV’s to 120hz. The third RIGHT SIDE TV is using a DP port and is limited to 60hz at 3840X2160 so in wanting a higher refresh rate, I set it to the LEFT TV resolution of 1920X1080 120hz. So…
LEFT TV = HDMI 1920X1080 120hz
RIGHT TV = DP 1920X1080 120hz
CENTER TV = HDMI 3840X2160 120hz.
My issue is that while I get great FPS on the center TV, it is really choppy with stutters on both side TV’s. This did not happen on the 2080ti card.
Have I totally hosed the configuration of the TV’s with the wrong Resolution etc trying to get a higher refresh rate? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
One theory - Do you have DLSS Frame Generation ON? Frame Generation works only on the center monitor/ TV, giving you the perception that its smoother. I had this issue on my 4080 with 3x1440p monitors.
Hi,
I run three 75" Samsung UHDTVs via an ASUS 4090 tuf board at 60Hz, there really is no need to go above 60. As a result I can run all three exterior visuals at 3840x2160.
As a matter of fact, I’m running seven monitors off of one computer, three at 4K and four and 1080p. I have a few flickers here and there, but this runs great.
WHAT? Only on the CENTER monitor? Holy cow! I didn’t realize that. Yes, FG is on. Im set to TAA and DX12 as well.
Staying at 60??? Doesn’t that give you screen flicker, as in the TV can’t refresh fast enough?
Based on my research when trying to solve this issue, yes. If you find otherwise, and manage to get Frame Gen working on all screens, can you please drop a not here? Thanks!
We used to be happy with 30fps so 60fps is nothing to sneeze at. Also, there is no flicker per se, just the potential for jerky motion when objects move at high relative speed through the frame.
Worst case for MSFS is flying a fast jet at low altitude and looking out the side of the cockpit. PaintedOrchid2 flies 737s on realistic routes, speeds and altitudes so I don’t think 60fps is an issue at all.
Hi,
Nope, the display is fine.
OK. Will give it a shot. By lowering the hz to, lets say 60, does that increase FPS?
