You sir, must be on autopilot for 5 hour flights if this doesn’t bother you lol howwww are you possibly controlling properly with middle click ![]()

You press middle click, and the mouse stays in freelook. I then use my controls to fly the plane.
Do you think this difficult? Controlling what? It’s a toggle function. If you can press it once, you can press it twice, yes?
One downside for me is using my hat switch for quick views toggles the middle click off.
When middle-click is enabled, you now cannot click on ANY instrument panels without pressing middle click a second time to turn it off.
If you think this is acceptable, you must work for Asobo lolllll ![]()
No, I just have fingers that can be used more than once. ![]()
With all the countless cockpit interaction we must make, pushing buttons, moving levers, rotating dials, who knew a second press of one button was the deal breaker. ![]()
But as I said before, we each have our priorities.
And your priority apparently is to delegitimize the problem of others. If this problem doesn’t bother you, why are you still here in this post? Only for delegitimize other people’s problem? I hate in my soul to start arguments, but your attitude is disgusting. What if we start doing this to you, go to your posts and say your problem doesn’t bother us?
Well, I think that in the end, someone has to moderate the forum, after all, official moderation only appears when it’s an off-topic post.
I’m sure it affects some more than others. We are all allowed our opinions. I’m sorry you are upset that my opinion doesn’t align with yours.
Feel free to join in on other topics if you wish. You can trace my activity via forum functions if you choose. Just don’t expect me to get upset when you disagree with me.
For the record I do still use the right click method. Im usually trimmed out so when I’m interacting with a zoomed in view of some instrument or other I’m not simultaneously trying to fly the plane by making inputs to primary controls. I rarely use the AP.
This doesn’t sound like a difficult thing to fix, so perhaps it will make it in to SU7?
No problem, opinions are welcome, but your opinion in this particular case doesn’t help.
Using the middle button doesn’t help everyone and doesn’t solve the problem, as my suggestion to create a head tracker doesn’t work for everyone. It makes no sense to keep insisting on the opinion, unless it’s just to disturb others.
These people are not able to play the game they paid for.
Communication with the developer is bad, we know the bug is logged but we don’t know if they understood the problem correctly and we don’t even have a date for it to be resolved.
And we are well aware that there are other serious issues with the game, and we know that no game is bug free, but it shouldn’t take that long to fix this.
Yeah let’s hope for SU7, just as we hoped for SU6 and previous updates
@hobanagerik We have been over this in the past as well. Why is it that you feel this compelling need to come in this thread and explain how this issue does not affect you?
We get it, you don’t care. Others do.
We know about the workaround. We don’t care to hear about it anymore.
This problem is an absolute MUST-FIX for me and many others. If you don’t feel the same, feel free to visit other threads on this forum, just forget this one exists. It is frustrating enough to see ZERO communication on this issue from the devs side without having some Asobo apologists coming in here and telling us how they have “fingers that can be used more than once”.
Just made a forums account to comment on this bug: it’s been here for a few months and it’s very hard to control the aircraft while looking around if the controls aren’t working. I would love to see this bug fixed.
Welcome aboard! Glad you could help us give some attention ![]()
Indeed.
This bug has been around since the Xbox launch (which broke the cockpit legacy tooltips as well, btw) and the bug is marked as logged, but the bug feedback snapshot stops at 25th and this one is below, so we can’t even possibly know a deadline.
A bit frustrating to say the least. It really bothers me when I fly, I’m using the “toggle” workaround but is not the same.
Feels like the only issues getting any attentions are the ones with thousands of votes ![]()
It’s nuts that this wasn’t a hotfix. Can’t look and fly at the same time? That should be a P1 bug.
They simply don’t care. They were a maps company, who got in way to deep when they switched it to a flight sim. Imo
…and some of those feel like bots.
like a couple of the localization requests… one day, no topic… next day - new topic is at the top of the wish list with 1000+ votes.
it’s odd how real features that would improve the game for everyone are relatively low on the vote list… and stuff like “I Miss Trains…” is at the top.
Shared cockpit multiplayer should have been at the top of the list since day one, along with improving AI traffic, Weather, Replay etc…
and improving half-implemented features, like turboprops, seaplanes/water physics should be finished before moving on to gliders and helicopters IMO.
anyways - seems like things are going in the right direction overall
I think we have the right to complain but there is no need to be negative… the bug has been logged, which means they are aware of it and they will address it… after they have addressed the bugs with more votes… that’s life.
I think the time to wear gloves and gingerly raise this issue is long gone. Even worse than the long time this has been an issue is the silence of the devs. This sort of issue at least is worthy of the “known issues” list in my view. But this has been completely ignored. And there have been lower impact issues, with a lower amount of votes, that have been already fixed in SU6. So our concern is valid, and negativity is, imho, very much warranted, as long as discussion remains civil.
Agreed. Valid criticism needs to be aired, which I certainly believe this is. And constantly trying to carefully address it is not always effective at properly communicating how big of an issue it really is. One can be constructive and negative without it having to unravel into uncivilized discussions, which there’s certainly no need for.
Really curious to see if this is fixed in tomorrow’s update. Or at least addressed in tonight’s Q&A stream…
I asked this question on the Q&A today (November 17 before SU7) they said to monitor that it ‘‘should’’ have been addressed in SU7 if not they will take a look at it if prominent!
Good news is that atleast they seem to hopefully be aware of this now.
