i cannot afford to buy the paid version of simbrief i would love to but with the euro/dollar to my currency exchange rate its quite expensive and unaffordable as a student living in asia. Already the msfs subscription is quite expensive
i tried planning bunch of flights but always got errors like “some airway dosent exist or is not valid anymore” My simbrief is on airac 2303 vs msfs which i guess has something else altogether. So will the flights planned in Simbrief that are valid for airac 2023 still work in msfs ?
i only used to fly vor to vor but transantlantic, pacific cannot be done using vor to vor and littlenav map, i need to use the fmc and proper flight planning for these.
I subscribe to Navigraph for Navigation data only. It’s something like 25 USD a year. This gives you nav data but not the charts. I use Skyvector for charts. Navigraph provides two programs that allow you to put that data into MSFS and other programs, if needed.
I’m not sure that subscription is still available. I don’t fly enough to justify buying the charts.

Yes the data only yearly package is still available but they make it difficult to find.
The other alternative is to subscribe to the full package for one month, sync everything up and then cancel it. At least then everything is on the same AIRAC until you need to do it again after a year or two.

OP I see from one of your other posts you’ve just bought the PMDG 777, a $77 plane, honestly if you are going to commit to this then Navigraph at $25/ year or $10/ month full package is neither here nor there and well worth it.
Weird. I never had any issues importing (free) SimBrief flight plans into MSFS.
You are absolutely correct there is usually no problem.
A problem can arise however if there is a mismatch in the AIRAC cycle in simbrief and the one you have installed in your aircraft. Then you can have all kinds of issues.
someone gifted me that plane for my birthday, the thing is i fly vor to vor its way more fun, i only want to try out some extreme range testing flights like middle to asia to the us or south america which is why i wanted to try out little bit more planning. anyways i will think about this.
i guess which is why i am getting a stragiht line too whevner i try to load the data in the fmc of the plane, this is my other post Straight line post imorting from simbrief in FMC pmdg 777 - #2 by TheFalconOne
Just follow the steps in the tutorial and you will be fine.
