Freezing when binding a control that is already assigned

When I try to bind a control that is already assigned somewhere else, a warning pops up, but clicking anything in the dialogue freezes the game. I have to force quit and start over.

Example, I can’t click the elevator trim switch in the Carenado Mooney, so I’m trying to bind a control on my Honeycomb Bravo. The switch I picked was already assigned to the yaw damper. Clicking anything in the pop up freezes the game.

This happens even when setting a new binding.

I have the same issue. It pertains to generic usb joystick. The joystick is recognized, axis assignments work fine, but adding button assignments locks the screen and the only way out of this window is to close the sim.

I was about to make a new post about this when I found yours.

The issue is still present: v1.36.2.0

  • Have been using the simulator for about a year and not seen this problem and within a few days it has occured twice.
  • I was setting new key bindings.
  • Happend with 2 different controllers (X-55 Throttle, VKB-GMCP).

The only way to get round the problems was to close the sim (Alt+F4) and restart.
