Brief description of the issue:
Since some weeks I’m getting frequent freezings. At some random point of the flight, (let’s say it happens in one flight in every three flights) the pc freezes and there is no way to defreeze it…I have just to switch it off. Hope you can help me to solve this awful problem! Best wishes.

I experience the same thing. If I leave FS ON Long enough it will freeze. Only happens in FS. I recently upgraded to 32 GB of ram and now it takes longer before it freezes.
which can points to same we already mention: overheat ( because MSFS let run your pc more or less allways in full load ) or may be something like of your usb device goes to sleep mode.
XMP mode is disable.
I had issue with CTDs but the latest updates of the sim seem to have solved that.
Now this annoying freezing.
So far, OCCT detects errors with my CPU if I run a small test, and freezes immediately if I run a large test or a test of the linpack (what the hell is this?).
No problem when testing RAM and GPU.
Who to solve?
Yes, I’m running the test with PC case open. Every test was ok regarding RAM and GPU…CPU test and voltage tests continue to freeze and I have to switch the PC off and then switch it on again.
hmm… in case we trust OCCT then may be a BIOS setting ( some CPU overclocking , e.g. sync all cores ? ) , or some cooling issue ( e.g. contact cooler to CPU ) , or also the power supply.
Checking BIOS related CPU settings. Where you are not sure, set AUTO or make a screenshot ( may be photo ) and post it. ( but don’t forget different timezones, becomes slowly late here ). ( you can also send PN in case you think is to much )
You can also do a simple check of cooler “by hand”… some what dirty, loose, etc. ( of course you can not find bad cooler-cpu connection in this way ).
Power-Supply… I’am not sure… can be faulty, but … not sure whether this is the issue in your case.
