@LeadRaindrop53
I just installed SU14 beta and immediately getting FSRealistic making sound on menu entry (no MSFS restart), which I didn’t recall before after I updated FSRealistic before (albeit testing was minimal).
In debug this shows Airport ambience and WInd ambience are both on. It seems to be a newly introduced bug with the preset state detection for the selected preset thinking you have switched camera view to outside the plane, as it’s showing I have a preset selected for the FSR500 which is the currently selected aircraft. Normally it shows nothing selected, just “connection successful, please start a flight”, until you go into fly mode iirc.
However, MSFS then CTD’d going in to Fly mode (testing the new SR22) and when I restarted FSRealistic was as per normal, no sound in menu and showing no preset selected on main menu, just the normal “connection successful, please start a flight”.
So could be a little glitchy detecting the state of the sim, depending on how the menu loads? In this case the menu sound issue from FSRealistic it was triggered by an MSFS sim update, but if started normally it seems ok.
I’d submit this as a bug but it’s already under discussion so assuming you are already aware of it.
But seeing as there is a sim update tomorrow, you might be getting a bunch of irate customers as this could well happen to them. It’s probably good practice to restart MSFS after an update, so possibly an easy workaround in this case.
Edit: I spoke too soon. Going back to main menu from fly mode FSRealistic Airport ambience and wInd ambience are both on. So the MSFS state detection in it is bugged.
Edit2: Did another flight and back from Fly mode to main menu and FSRealistic is behaving itself this time, no menu sounds of airport and wind. Twitchy. Not sure what’s up with that.
Edit3: Just started MSFS for another test and FSRealistic is selecting the aircraft profile currently active which causes the menu sound, instead of the regular normal “connection successful, please start a flight”.
