FS Returns to previous aircraft and airport

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
After setting Up an aircraft in free flight Hamburg - Blankenese and the CESSNA, the Software Returns to previous airport HEATHROW and showing a B737.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
No mods installed, we are total beginners.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time until new Installation. Afterwards a selection can bei done for tge 1st flight.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Attached the entire sequence of screenshots as a PDF (Not allowed here) and then as a slightly smaller series in part 1 and part 2.
1- Free flight selected
2-Boeing is preselected
3-First select the airports Hamburg-Lübeck

4,5-Then the aircraft is changed to Cessna
6- Cessna , Hamburg - Lübeck , then click on START FLIGHT
7- then the animation starts and it zooms to HEATHROW…
8-11- Heathrow at night and again ‘spawned’ into a Boeing my son would say…

Nvidia 3050i in a gaming Laptop.
Very Low settings and FPS at aprox 11-20.

Just trying to reproduce your issue and post my results. That is what the bug template is intended for.

I suspect if you select the Cessna before selecting your departure location (Hamburg), on the world map planner, the sim should start at your desired location.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• I have the same issue on Win 10 PC w/ NVidia. Once in first game after installation (=no mods) selected take-off airport and plane. When selecting in a new game another plane or airport →
plane: the plane never changes
airport: on the world map, it zooms back to first airport, then shows the plane at the runway of the first airport, after pressing “start flight” we are suddenly at the new airport (always at real time, independly from what you selected) with the plane OVER the runway (~x0 ft) and the plane falls from a certain height on the runway.

• Just as an idea, because it was an issue in other programs as well: I have a windows user account name using special (German) characters. Could this have an influence?

This was a known issue in MSFS2020,so it’s probable that it is in FS 2024 as well.
