Same here in Italy fs2020 and FS2024 same situation, but is there someone from Microsoft/Asobo team which could inform us about what is going on?
The servers cannot be accessed in Germany. MSFS2020 and 2024 cannot be started.

My FS 2020 has just started, but all my settings are gone 
The same here in uk can’t play every on the xbox like msfs and other games
yes, I have the pc steam versions of both. Just tried it again and still works for me in the eastern us. Just my opinion, but it seems like steam has less problems than going through the microsoft store. I also checked my settings and they all look intact.
Apparently the Xbox webpage is also broken, as it is saying that there is nothing wrong.
You only buy from Steam, the game is just the same and depends on the same servers.
Also, the eastern US is just a small part of a very large world, so it is possible to have a different result there than in other much larger parts.

Looks like cloud saved settings are still not available… i would leave instantly and wait … if you change everything and it will uploaded… your old settings are gone … i would wait.

Seems to be all sorts of connectivity issues across multiple services right now, especially in the EU region. Possibly DDOS attacks.
Germany, Cologne area (provider NetCologne). FS2024 starts normal here.
