Hello everyone

Is your desktop icon pixled aswell or am I doing something wrong?

I wish I had a descktop icon. What does your icon point to? I can’t find an exe and have to launch through the MS Store which is a pain

Pin your MS Flight Sim to ‘START’ menu, thru the Microsoft Store Flight Sim page.

Then drag the icon from the start menu to your desktop
 now you have a desktop icon!

I forget how I did it, but I pinned MSFS2020 to my Taskbar along the bottom of my monitor screen.

Windows has always listed the installed programs in the start menu. From there you just either launch or right click for further options.

You go to the “three dots” (next to PLAY button) on the MS Flight Sim Store Page, in the upper left corner. You can pin the Icon to the Taskbar, or Start menu. If you use the Start Menu option, you can drag the icon from the start menu to the desktop. Then you have a desktop icon.

Thanks for the tip. I now have a desktop icon. I guess it was too complex to do this automatically as most other games provide. FCS!!!

Yep, it is not very intuitive. MS needs to add a Desktop Icon choice.

Just discovered fsdevmodelauncher from the SDK that starts FS and skips all the intro videos. That’s better. :grin:

You need to download and install the SDK, then you’ll find it in the Tools\FSDevModeLauncher folder

The easy way, go to the xbox app.
-On the left side you see your games.
-Right click and choose “create desktop icon” (Dutch here :wink: )

There you go.

Thanks very much!!! My desktop icon disappeared along with some others, and I have tried many tips offered, but this is the one what worked. Thanks again!
