Or certainly locally famous anyway. I made a post about my FS2020 Scottish scenery photogrammetry mods on a local Facebook group. It drew a lot of a attention with a few people sharing the post and a lot of people who didn’t really know about the sim were asking questions about it. Next thing I knew a local newspaper got in contact asking if it would be ok to run an article about my StAndrews photogrammatry scenery. I then had to do a telephone interview with a journalist about it.
Its great so many people seem interested about it.
I did enjoy your scenery, even though I loathe the golf course! I played in the pre-qualifying for the Sunbeam Scottish Open there in 1972 (I think it was), shot 72 and missed out by a shot.
Carnoustie next? I can tell you a tale or two about that too.
@Mobias7 where is your scenery hosted? I spent a few days in St Andrew’s back when I was in the Navy in 1984. We had flown some Icelandic dignitaries to RAF Leuchars, and RAF Macrahanish (sp?), and we had plenty of time to enjoy a pleasant respite from the ice, snow and cold. While at St Andrew’s we stayed at a very nice BnB just down the road from the golf course, and kind of across the road from a castle we explored. I loved that trip and would so much love to return for another visit.
That’s a nice article! There was something about XPlane a couple of years ago in our local newspaper but it was rather joking around how people could spend hours in front of their PC and watch the AP fly… ^^
