FS2020 Marketplace: how do I know if I'll get the 2024 version of a product too?

Specifically Old Buckenham by Burning Blue Design. It’s discounted in the 2020 Marketplace but not in the 2024. In the 2024 Marketplace it states that the 2020 version is included in the price, but no reciprocal statement in the 2020 Marketplace to say I get the 2024 version.

It doesn’t seem to be particularly clear if we get 2024 versions in the 2020 Marketplace, of if we have to pay again.

I’ve not heard of any reciprocal arrangement before. You would think that might be encouragement to buy 2024 if you are still on the fence right now.

After contacting Burning Blue, you DO get the 2024 version if you buy from the 2020 Marketplace. They really ought to make this more transparent (as they have in the 2024 Marketplace).

Oh, that’s good news. Any idea whether that’s a decision the developer makes or it’s a global thing?

No idea, I’m afraid. But intuition tells me it’s a dev decision as some are charging upgrade fees for native 2024 versions.

This is my thinking as well. Some include 2024 version without cost, some have a discounted upgrade price, and some have more or less full price for 2024 version. This leads me to think that it’s fully up to the developer to decide.

Unlike in 2024, there doesn’t seem to be a way to indicate that the 2024 version is included, when purchasing in the 2020 marketplace. Probably needs to be an update, for that to be possible.

Anecdotally, I bought MYNN from Sierrasim (I believe it was) in 2024. It was like €1 cheaper in 2020, but it said in 2024MP that 2020 version was included, and for one euro, it’s not worth potentially having to pay more. Clear information would be appreciated, on the other hand.
