FS2020 players also left high and dry

I had a feeling of what was coming with FS2024 (after all, the servers on FS2020 were hit and miss, so depending on them even more is a recipe for disaster).

I held back and didn’t buy 2024, but I at least expected to be able to keep using 2020.

Since a couple of days before the new launch of download simulator, the servers have been horrendous on 2020 as well. I haven’t finished a flight yet without the servers going off line after a brief period and staying off.

It is the same MO. After about 10 minutes I get a low bandwidth message, followed by a very brief green “you’re back online” then immediately after it goes offline again and stays offline.

How I hate the cloud. At work it makes everything run in slowmotion, and now at home I can’t use my computer to play games of fly planes anymore as I’m dependent on the whims of tech that falls over all the time.

I am in the UK if that helps, but I’m sure it won’t

I too am in the UK and have flown FS20 since FS24 launch. I have had no issues whatsoever with flying in FS20. About to try another FS20 flight now. Let’s see how it goes today.

Just managed to get on using a VPN to put me in the USA

Same here in uk MSFS 2020 Good internet speeds, low bandwidth off line. Not completed a flight yet, going off line

Even Microsoft 365 was down this morning… thats what you get from letting millions of peoples into the cloud at the same time…
