Just a question…
FS2020 is the best simulator for you ?
You used it, so you can talk about it.
The point is not to talk about the bugs that are still numerous, it will get better over time, you know that.
But if you were to go back to your old simulator, would you ditch FS2020?
I give you my opinion.
I stay on FS2020. I tried to go back to P3D and XP but for me, these products are completely a thing of the past.
I had never had a simulator like FS2020.
Really, I am happy with this major development.
MFS 2020 is the BEST looking Sim and give it a few more Months it will get more Real as regards improved Aircraft Systems.
Kind Regards from Mr Extremely Hard to Please in the Once Upon a Time United Kingdom.
Since 12 years now i am a dedicated X-Plane user. I tried many times so far to return back as i fly mostly IFR with Airliners. Even that i had all my systems and buttons accuracy back in the middle of each flight i felt weird and empty…
MSFS2020 created a new chapter…and has great potential for the Future.
Will never betray X-Plane of course, I am ultra connected …but this new Sim is another league
And, funnily enough, I recently went back to FSX cos I was missing doing some IFR at night in busy airspace. FSXs lighting looks better. FSXs ATC works better. FSXs ai traffic works better.
However…one day, when live weather works all the time, when ATC doesn’t sound like it was scripted by a foreigner whose level of english isn’t great, when aircraft lights don’t look like little coloured squares and actually flash, when every farm and rural hamlet in Great Britain doesn’t have a 5 story office block on it…and when some gifted 3rd party dev has taken all the best features of FSPassengers and made a career mode addon…this’ll be the best sim in the history of simming.
Well, creating a full flight sim of the entire world is quite the feat. Add to that the fact that the flight sim community is extremely demanding and Aircraft communication and navigation systems being enormously complex; sometimes I wonder if Asobo understands what they got themselves into. But that’s it, it’s too late now, there’s no going back. We are already teased, we already paid and we want more. If only we could have all the features of the old sims but looking like MSFS2020. That day will come but as of now at least, the sim looks gorgeous and it’s just a pleasure to look at. Until the likes of PMDG and FSLabs come out with their Boeings and Airbuses, I’d fly a paper plane in it.
You can’t do that to the ‘Old Girl’ CRUEL !
I’ve been Flying out from Orcas in a Carenado Aircraft in MFS 2020 and then replicating the same flight in FSX Gold. With suitable Add Ons, VFR Scenery and Weather enhancements FSX still Ticks a lot of Boxes and even after 10 + years.
Now 2020, I have spent vast amounts of money over the years on addons I prefer xp over p3d, but 2020 is the future, I tend to fly ga and use the flybywire mod in this, but I do still use xp for my airliners but I feel that will only be for a few months.
Flybywire is improving al the time it’s just the autopilot is my biggest thing but that has already seen patches that have helped
I am lucky that since release I have not had one ctd with this sim. Of course it’s not perfect but hey the thing is so complex. Modern tube liners are just computers with wings and must be a nightmare to develop. Descending through the clouds glimpsing the countryside below looks so real. I still have x plane, p3dv5 with a great deal of orbx. It’s hard going back now as this thing is just going to get better with age. Maybe xplane might pull something out of the hat scenery wise to compete. I still enjoy the pmdg queen for my study level fix once in a while.
I know some are having a real ■■■■ time getting this thing to work on their machines. For those I hope it works out eventually. So for me fs2020 has it as my prefefered sim
