Fs2024 don't save settings

Hi,
fs2024 don’t save settings
everytime i modify graphics settings
They go to default on reboot

Maybenot the right subforum to put it, but since the last little update, MSFS2024 won’t remember the settings I set. I save them, play, end the game and the next time all the settings are a complete mess. Even a screen resolution I do not have. My hardware and controlls are not effected
Is this a known problem or is it something I can repair myself

@ IBORR5883 for me they don’t go to default but an everytime different setup

Make sure the Xbox Services are running automatically.

  • In the Windows search bar, type “Services”
  • Select “Services”
  • Scroll down to the bottom. Double-click on each entry for Xbox and make sure none of those services are not disabled or set to manual. Set everything to “Automatic”.

Thanks @BoomUga, that did the trick. Didn’t even knew these services existed :thinking:

I was happy to early. After shut down the PC the problem still persist and the services are on.
If I close the game and start it again all is fine, but if I close the game and shut down the PC and switch it on again and start 2024 the settings are wrong again. It is strange, because some settings it willl keep but others changee to strange values. Like Full screen resollutuin goes to 3413x1920. But my monitor is 2560x1440.
The global renddering quality is affected .
Strange, I can work around od course, but it is frustating

Seems to work here well.

One thing you can try is to set all your settings to your preferred choices, then when you have them all set up, immediately press restart of the flight.

I have found this method as a way to retain settings between flight sessions.
