yes! I setup my flight for a good 30 minutes to discover finally that I could not leave the parking! No way to get out to the aircraft to remove them myself, so I had to restart the flight and remove them before entering.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

The pilot conducting the walk round on an airliner dies not remove engine covers. That’s ridiculous

• On Xbox there is the same issue. I have to exit the plane and remove the chocks and covers manually.
If you didn’t remove chocks and covers before entering the aircraft, exit the aircraft and remove them.

Yes the bug sucks, but not game breaking.
Hi,
actually I tried, but there were no interaction possible, covers & chocks were not “shiny” like usual and so, my fly could begin pushback doesn’t works.
I have to admit that I’m a bit anger with it (and can’t help my self not to say it on forum, apologise) but, I’m sorry objectively, there are serious basic problem that I can’t understand especially seeing what close the 24 version is from the 20 for a large part of it.
But I’ll not longer complain about it here, that pointless and helps nobody, that’s true.
Hi,
for me : no, it happens, randomly, I can’t figure a cause for now.
Most of the time I remember to remove stuff BEFORE get in the fly for the first time, there some time I see that not works, and sometimes I forgot and do it AFTER get in, so I go out of the plane, then try to remove it, and sometimes I just can’t.
When it happen the “object” cover seem no more interact at all.
As I saw several persons encounter the same, I thought it was a bug, not me in particular, but no more clue on it.
It can be frustrating, for sure.
The one thing I’ve found about FS2024 is, as soon as I notice something not working as it normally does, I like to restart it.
The sim seems to be fussy about connecting to the stream.
If it connects good, it works well.
If it doesn’t, little things like that don’t work right, so at the first sign, I just restart the sim again.
Yep, I understand you and that’s wise, really.
But I’m already an active beta tester on several early access games, and MSFS didn’t pretend to be one of them.
That will not solve my problem, I know, but I have limits like everyone
Thanks for your reply, thought.
Why was this moved from the bug report section? There is no working solution yet. The problem still exist in SU 2.
The covers and chocks do not work from the EFB, and there is no way to replace them from outside the aircraft.
Weird, I moved it because a post was supposed to have been marked as the solution but there is no sign of it. Moved back to Bug Reporting Hub > Aircraft & Systems.

Yes

The chocks and covers can not be toggled in the EFB.
The chocks covers can not be replaced after being removed.
