FS2024 Premium DeLuxe - Diamond DA40 TDI cannot selected in Free Flight, it is only is only passive

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

he Diamond Aircraft DA40 TDI part of the deluxe package is not selectable in free flight

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time on sim load

REPRODUCTION STEPS

1. make sure you own deluxe / premium deluxe (and Yes I DO own the premium deluxe version)
2. start FS2024 and go to Free Flight
3. Click on the aicraft image
4. In Change Aircraft search for TDI
5. No entry Found.

Using VFS projection:

1. activate Dev Mode
2. go to VFS Projector
3. start VFS Projection
4. Open explorer
5. in explorer navigate to VFSProjection\simobjects
6. execute search for TDI. it is only found in “asobo_passiveaircraft_da40family\presets\asobo\da40_tdi”
7. the TDI should also be found in the simobject folder as an aircraft. Take for example the C172, both the analog and the G1000 has both its own folder: “asobo_c172sp” and “asobo_c172sp_g1000”. For the DA40 the only folder is for the G1000 “asobo_da40ng” and the TDI is missing

Confirmed - the DA40 TDI is MIA. (Premium Deluxe)

For me as an owner of 2020 Prem/delux, the option is under the da40 configuration as a “variant” in 2024.

As confirmed by @iKeepOnTruckin , da40-tdi is available for free flight, it needs to be selected under variants:

Moved to User Support Hub that is more appropriate.

Yep it’s there for me too. Select the DA40 even if it currently says NG and then configure it. You should find the TDi as one of the options there. Not the most intuitive menu system but it’s there.

I actually searched it as a variant, because it works the same for the C172 analog, it is a variant as well.

However the TDI did not appear for me, also not as a variant.

But as it worked for you all, i searched further.

Finally, I found this way to make the TDI appear for me:

. In my libray I disabled the TDI.
. Then restart FS2024.
. Then enable the TDI again (made sure only FS2024, not FS2020)
. Then restart FS2024 again.
. Then finally the TDI appeared also for me as a variant.
. Also it appears now in the VFS Projector.
