RJ100 is confirmed forward compatible by JustFlight. There’s some minor glitches with the windshield but they’re patching.
Does the installer work without MSFS 2020 installed? That’s a problem I’ve found with all Just Flight addons so far, they can’t install without the FS2020 UserOpt.cfg file present.
The Bonanza Improvement project works but I don’t think the WT GPS works the same as the standard Bonanza. I didn’t see all the detail , like fix’s in the Improvement project. I might have done something wrong but it didn’t appear to be the same.
Appreciate the HU. Im a huge fan of the RJ by JF. That means its on my Xmas list.
So, do I just copy the Files from the FS 2020 comunity folder?
I have to dispute - or at least qualify - others’ reports regarding the FlyingIron P-38L. I can report it does work, sort of, but with caveats. I can’t seem to do go a cold & dark start - seems to be something not working correctly in the starter/energizer switches for the engines. CTRL-E will start them up however. After that, all the gauges and sounds seem to work, though flight dynamics seem off. There’s a weird fishtailing oscillation in straight and level flight that I wasn’t able to trim out, and something I don’t remember experiencing in 2020, though I ran out of time this evening to load up the older sim to compare.
I have the C414AW Chancellor for MSFS2020 but cant even find it in MSFS2024 yet
I will double check how it works. Do you have it through the Marketplace? I think otherwise you can copy the files to the MSFS2024 Community folder.
My FSW C414AW is thru marketplace. I cant even get it to show.
- Tested and confirmed the Drifter Ultralight (SimMarket install) works well
- Tested the CAC Winjeel by Ant’s Airplanes and couldn’t get it to take off, but I’m 90% sure it’s user error. It’s a complex engine modeling and I remember having the same issue in FS2020 at times. Not adding to the list just yet.
- Tested and confirmed the ERCO Ercoupe 415 by BRsimDesign is working well (no pilot model is visible, only issue I’ve found so far.)
- Tested and confirmed the Nardi FN-333 Riviera by MND is working.
- Tested and confirmed the Flyboy Rans S-6 Coyote is working.
- Tested the Bellanca Super Viking by Lionheart and didn’t encounter any major issues.
Fenix just released their MSFS 2024 version of A320 series on the installer. Haven’t tried it yet though.
Thanks for the update! I added it. Do you know if the A319/321 expansions are covered by that update as well, or just the base 320?
All three aircraft are covered.
SimWorks Studios RV-14: loads up but the enigne doesn’t start. It doesn’t even make a peep when you hit the starter. Not compatible
SimWorks Studios RV-10. Seems to work for the most part. Minor issues: no pilot visible in the external view and the Garmin units don’t see any Nearest airports/intersections/NDBs/VORs (might be a general FS2024 issue, haven’t checked yet). And the LVL mode of the autopilot doesn’t work. Nav lights don’t work. (Mostly) Compatible
Taog’s UH-1 / 205 Huey: works but with a heavy performance penalty. Compatible, but only usable on high end PCs.
CAS Piper J3 Cub. Loads up, the tablet works but no engine start possible. Not compatible. UPDATE: Jacobes16 just posted the information that some of the liveries with the registration on the tail might work for the time being, while the others have WASM / panel.cfg issues. I will try it and report back. UPDATE 2: no luck on my end, not even with the recommended Tailreg liveries. Perhaps someone else has more luck but I have to reconfirm: Not compatible
- Added the Cockspur C162 as it does work, but its screens are extremely dim which may make it feel unusable to some.
Also want to add that it was a free upgrade.
Though they mention it wasn’t simply forward compatibility, they also mention they aren’t supporting a lot of the native FS2024 features yet. I’ll wait until they add all of that to say it was a free upgrade, in case that causes them to add a fee (though I don’t expect it to.)
TFDi MD-11 works but with some issues. The biggest I found were the dim screens. May be others as I haven’t flown it long enough yet but hearing from others it seems okay.
Leonardo MD-82 loads but I think has activation issues - can’t seem to get the external app to work, and certain functions don’t seem to respond.
- Added the COWS DA42 and all of the CowanSim helicopters as they are listed as FS2024 Compatible on Orbx.
My experience so far:
Works without noticeable issues
- S&H Software ATR 42/72-600
- FSReborn M500
Works with minor issues
- SWS Kodiak: Payload/Passengers do not appear (only visually)
- Black Square Turbine Duke: A few gauges need a rework but remaining usable.
- Black Square Piston Duke: See Turbine variant.
- Black Square TBM850: Same as Duke.
- A2A Comanche: Minor bugs, developer is already addressing them.
- Airfoillabs Bristell B23: MFD brightness is too dark, possibly an issue on my side.
Does not work/does not appear
- SWS Pilatus PC 12: Gauges and Instruments do not work properly. Update will be send out by SWS free of charge according to Devs.
Edit: Kodiak has no payload visible
Edit 2: TBM 850 Sound fix (Link to JF Forum)
Edit 3: Added SWS Pilatus PC-12
Note to Dukes: Piston/Turbine located in the variants.
