ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
Aircraft configs … are not remembered across sim launches. So when I quit the game, relaunch it, I will always have to reselect my desired (last used) variant and livery for each aircraft.
This is even when I can see the FS2024 sees to write updated config files for those aircraft into the filesystem. Either they do not contain the actual config values … or those persistent files get ignored on the next launch.

Yes.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Always. On every launch, and for every aircraft (of the Aviator Edition).
So this bug is not specific to one aircraft.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
- Launch sim
- Go to “Free Flight”
- Pick an aircraft which does offer multiple variants and liveries (e.g. Vision Jet)
- Click “Configure” and select one of the non-default options
- Save … and leave the aircraft config … the proper variant and livery is now visible on the top-left
- Quit … the free flight … and Quit the sim
- Launch the sim again
- Go to “Free Flight”
- … and see that aircraft selected in the last sim run is still selected … but in the default version.
