FSLTL and FlightRadar24 - cannot get precise live traffic

Guys, I have a working Navigraph subscription and heard that I can now use it to feed FSLTL (which I am not super familiar with) and get live traffic in MSFS2020.

I follow the steps provided in FSLTL’s guide but in the sim, I’m not seeing the exact traffic precisely as per what I see in FR24. It will create planes “based on” what I see on FR24 (same airline and I think, same airplane type), but they will be in the wrong location and do their own things.

May I confirm that this is about what I can expect from this new alliance between Navigraph and FR24, or, should I expect to see in the sim exactly what I see in FR24 and in which case I am missing something in my settings ?

Thanks.

Good thing you’ve seen traffic at all, no matter what airport, I never had any air traffic last night. When it worked for me, there were a few minutes delay compared to FR24 and sometimes a mess on the ground.

I understand that FR24 supplies “real-time” data to the sim which then takes over the operation of the aircraft. Not sure how the sim handles that TBH. FSLTL have just released a new version of their injector a few hours ago which may or may not improve this, but you should always expect a short processing delay of course.

I use a different traffic injector which specifically states once it’s got the data it handles the aircraft itself and may (probably!) not be precisely the same as in FR24.

@Terrylawdinn ok thanks for the response.

I had a look at FSLTL discord server as well as their FAQ and it is quite clear that this is the same old problem that actual, live traffic cannot be displayed in the sim as of yet.

FSLTL is cool but doesn’t display live traffic with actual positions in MSFS.

The fact FSLTL can now get FR24 data through Navigraph doesn’t change how the FSLTL injector has worked since its initial release years ago when it was using FR24 data direct.

FSLTL injector uses FR24 data to inject aircraft into the sim. The sim then controls that aircraft (for the most part), which is why it works with the in-sim ATC. Would suggest reading through the FSLTL website which covers what the injector can and can’t do at present, known AI sim limitations, etc.

Moved to User Support Hub for community assistance.

@TexasBandito Yes that’s what I did enventually. There used to be an add-on called Enchanced Live Traffic <here>, it was not only injecting FR24 traffic into the sim, but also was keeping the tracks live as per FR24 all the way, and therefore outside the sim’s AI. Wonder what happened to it, the author isn’t maintaining it anymore and hasn’t been responding either. It came with its own problems but back then was real cool to get actual FR24 traffic in the sim and not only these “injections”.

A shame.
