i just reset settings and no luck mate, I have my traffic injector folder inside community just like base models folder
The folder needs to be there (for the toolbar to work in game). But the .exe file itself can be anywhere. I have mine located in a subfolder on my desktop.
I recently had my FBW installer reset my install directories in Settings to their default locations instead of the custom locations I have been using since forever. I needed to point the install directories back to my custom locations and then my various add-ons (The A320, the Salty 747, and FSLTL) were recognized again.
I had set to default locations since the beggining.
No problem with Saltiy747 , A32NX or FSLTL base models, only issue with Traffic injector
ok I will try to move the exe out of my community folder.
EDIT: No changes after moving the fsltl traffic injector. exe. FBW installer fsltl TI doesn’t recognize the package folder, but the strange thing is base models does like the other FBW add ons as well
EDIT 2: Seems like it solved by itself:
This post is some friendly piece of advice, for those who need to go into their base pack installs and resize textures. I think you should rethink your folder structure. Having each repaint have its own folder outside of the base aircraft folder is silly and unnecessary. The program/sim should/will still be able to read the textures just being in a base aircraft folder. It also would decrease the amount of folders down from 1400+ to maybe 150. Going into each aircraft folder and resizing textures would be easier.
Here’s what a neat structure looks like:
This is not structured:
There’s a reason for the folder structure being the way it is. It’s for efficient updates. Feel free to mess everything up. Guess I’ll put you on a black list not to receive support when having any issues
I noticed that when I run the textureoptimizer with setting 2048 that my effect-textures in the fsltl-base changed from 1025kb to 5462kb, so that may slow down everything. Is it possible to copy the old effect textures back without problems?
I had horrible fps after installing the new version (7600x/3070/64GB). Resizing the textures did not help in my case. I had to lower traffic variety from ultra to high to get to 30 fps at busy airports (I am no using the injector, only default msfs live traffic)
Hello,
Anyone saw some HK express livery? I try in Hong Kong airport where there is suppose to be many of them, but I didn’t find any.
What can I say? I absolute love this addon, and it gets better with every update. Until this first came along I always used AIG, and even though it served me well, it was quite complicated to get up and running. I’m loving the simplicity of FSLTL, and cool features like automatically removing certain aircraft after a period of time if they get “stuck”, or the speedy traffic injection. And the fact that it’s 100% free is just the icing on the cake. Sure, it has a couple of issues, with blank liveries and a few airline companies showing up at wrong airports, but I can easily live with that, and these issues seem to be occurring less and less with every update.
Well done guys. Hats off to you. I’m really struggling to see how I can possibly be swayed into buying Just Flight’s FS Traffic when it releases, because for me, FSLTL does all I need it to do.
Sorry, I don’t understand exactly what you mean.
I’ve noticed a fairly significant FPS hit with recent versions of FSLTL, going to have to tweak the parameters a bit, I should be able to get at least another 12-18 months out of this PC (5800X / 32GB 3200 / 3080ti) before needing to upgrade any major components.
Sorry wrong person, it was meant for @anon44786522
How do I increase the number of parked aircraft at the gates? I’ve got IFR at 130, static aircraft (or whatever the term was) at 7 and yet airports are considerably more empty than pre-patch. CLT had only 3 jets at one of it’s terminals yesterday. Never used to be like this before.
FSLTL is great indeed, the only thing that bugs me is the coverage of traffic, for example if I fly in US there is a lot of traffic departures and arrivals, however at smaller (international) airports in europe I get a lot of enroute traffic too, but way too less activity on the airports itself. yes, aircraft do taxi from the gate to takeoff, but I only get like 1-2 arrivals in an hour when in real life all 2-3 minutes there is an arrival. but that might be ms/Asobo/flightplandatabase problems and not related to fsltl itself…
No problem.
Well, I didn’t find a solution, so I started it from the .exe that is inside de FSTL folder. But today I noticed the problem has solved by itself. Very strange…
Can’t have issues if you don’t use a product. It was a positive sided criticism. If people were indeed needing to go through and resize and change texture sizes, wouldn’t people be much more inclined and feel a lot better about the process if they only had 150 folders instead of 1400+? The structure may work on the back end for updating, but there’s no reason why the final ‘live’ downloadable build couldn’t be different for users. Even for developers, simplicity is as appreciated as it is for users. But if that’s the structure that works for you guys, bravo? But it does look very disorganized and ‘unprofessional’. Users of MSFS demand excellence. “heavy rolling of eyes”.
Yes my problem it solved by itself as well after moving the exe file out of community folder.
