AIG’s goal is a more complete AI Traffic, and there is no doubt that FSLTL is missing a lot.
However, there is no doubt that FSLTL has great value in the current workload/experience tradeoff.
Nor does it detract from AIG’s value.

In the 1hr I sat and watched this morning, I saw one aircraft waiting to depart rotate a bit (default AI behaviour), and one other aircraft on a very wildly swaying uncontrolled approach (should be a go around) actually land half way down the runway before veering off down a taxiway at speed with it’s wing scraping along the ground. BUT the vast majority of other aircraft look fine to me.
The dev in their notes spells out limitations of default AI behaviour so expect some weirdness, but from what I saw this morning it generally looks (and sounds) great.
It is not about the “value”. It’s about the fact the Major issues with the AI traffic still remains unsolved and even FSLTL will not change that unfortunately.
I appreciate the work from the guys here but this didn’t change the reality
I just hope for less FPS impact from the models xD The only way to have a proper traffic is PSXT, IMO. Any sim
Yes.
Improving reality depends on Asobo.
Its always good to have competition as it makes the quality improve.
I tested FSLTL and compared it to AIG.
The biggest difference for me was that the models did not affect frame-rate, unlike AIG which at busy airports has a impact on FPS.
Also contrails are now visible even when you dont have a contrail of your own. (it wasnt the case with AIG I believe).
Till Asobo / MS does not solve the basic AI handling issues (dancing aircraft, not moving from runway, extremely slow taxi speeds), any good AI software will not make the experience better.

Nish
So… AIG = not so easy installation, models are heavier on fps, more airlines/flight plans
This: easy installation, better fps, includes GA
How do I completely remove AIG? I don’t want conflicts (even if aig has more planes).
Dont inject them (untick Auto-Injection on startup as well).
I have AIG and I didnt do anything to them.
Cheers,
Nish
AIG has no real time arrivals or departures and also no enroute traffic visible. The altitudes of spawned aircraft are also wrong. FSTL does that much better.
Both AIG and FSLTL are great pieces of software and are free!
I’m curious as to how these companies make money? Through donations? I don’t see any ads.
However, there IS one BIG advantage over AIG TC: FSLTL is capable of spawning AI traffic at their current cruise altitude while AIG TC always spawns everything at ridiculously wrong altittudes.

This was working fine for me on my last VATSIM flight: [Timestamped link] https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/v42kEINKJHs
Is it happening with any specific model?
I noticed that the takeoff roll of AI planes is longer now. And there are smoke effects on the tires on touchdown
Sounds are so good! Great work Team of FSTL, the long wait was worth it! You are sim heroes and legends now! Thank You
Yes I have , of course
It works well, as expected. PSXT works with any aircraft that is MSFS compatible!
Download just the FSLTL base models.
Run PSXT, push the Liveries button, and you will get 1977 extra liveries, also a few GA.
Make sure you run PSXT at least twice, MSFS has to build up info about the FSLTL liveries.
At the first run you will get a lot of " cannort be created…" messages. They will disappear at the second run of PSXT with FSLTL
How’s the performance compared to AIG?
I have watched only 5 minutes, so a bit short to jump to comclusions. At first sight I see no difference, but we have to find out.
ive only downloaded the base models and alls working well,a few white planes, psxt where can i get that from
