FSR 3 Frame Generation Causing Persistent Vibrations (v1.4.18.0)

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I’m experiencing a consistent vibration issue on the left side of the screen in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, as shown in the attached video. This only occurs when I have FSR 3 Frame Generation enabled. The vibrations are present in 100% of the frames, indicating a persistent graphical or physics-related glitch when using this feature.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
Yes, this issue also occurred with previous versions. My current version is 1.4.18.0.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons?
Yes, I have removed all mods and add-ons, and the issue persists.


FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time when FSR 3 Frame Generation is enabled.


REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
  2. Enable FSR 3 Frame Generation in the graphics settings.
  3. Load any flight and switch to external view.
  4. Observe the left side of the screen for vibrations.

This issue occurs exclusively on the ground, during taxi, takeoff, and landing. In flight, the vibrations are not present.
Overall performance in this release is excellent, with a stable 70-80 FPS on the ground, so the vibrations seem to be the only significant issue.

I see the same. “Flickering” can be seen on both of an aircraft’s side windows in cockpit view, and also on the edges of the wings & elevators when in external view.

My understanding is that this is one of the known disadvantages of using frame generation to increase one’s framerates, but I may be wrong.

Generally, since I’m focused on looking at the runway & instruments during takeoff & landing, this is not too much of an annoyance for me, and it is a better alternative issue than low FPS & stutters during takeoff & landing.
