ISSUE DESCRIPTION
FSR3 frame gen does not work properly with the Adrenalin Radeon Chill feature with SU2 Beta 1.4.10.0 (or any of the other prior SU2 beta releases). Seems like with Radeon Chill my fps gets capped to some random value when FSR3 frame gen is turned on.
Description of the issue:
I use Radeon chill to cap my fps at about half of my monitors refresh rate and then use frame gen to double the fps and stay within the fps capabilities on my monitor. This takes stress off of my gpu and works great with AFMF2.1 frame gen however does not work correctly with FSR3 frame gen. As you can see from the pic below, Radeon Chill is set to 70fps and the resultant fps with FSR3 frame gen is capped at a random value of 96 fps (see top overlay bar which should be 140 fps as my real fps is well over 70). If I turn off FSR3 frame gen then the fps gets capped at 70 fps (which is correct).
Notes:
- my gpu (AMD 7900xtx) is capable of more than 70 fps with the sim
- the pic below has the Adrenalin app running momentarily over the top of a free flight in the sim
Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
No - AFMF2.1 frame gen in the Adrenalin driver works correctly with Radeon Chill.
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes - community folder is empty and I still have the issue.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time I use Radeon Chill with FSR3 frame gen.
