FSReborn FSR500 Overpowered?

I have a question about the FSR500. I’m trying to learn the aircraft and fly it as it’s flown in RL. I’ve been watching video’s by Blake Nelson, who is a low hours PA-46 pilot. He said that for approaches you should try to fly around 125 knots in the M500. I’m practicing patterns at around 800 AGL and attempting to hit 125 knots. The problem is that in order to hit 125 knots I need flaps 10 and the throttle be at idle. When the throttle is at idle the check gear notification comes on. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t I be able to hit 125 knots without pulling the throttle back to idle?

I love the aircraft and want to make sure I’m doing things correctly.

The check gear aural notification is just that, a yellow advisory.

The aircraft irl has a 500SHP power turbine flat rated, it is capable of producing 1313 ft-lbs all the way to FL230 under isa conditions. On ground even 1480 ft-lbs (red line don’t do it or it breaks)

So yes, is poweful turbine designed to climb fast and ASAP.

To stay on circuit / approach speed you need to set your power at 300 Ft-lbs that will be way back on the throttle. This aircraft is very easy to overspend and over stress and it is why the PT6-42a was derated for this aircraft from 800shp to 500shp in hence the name 500

User manual and tutorials will explain how to slow down for aproach speeeds.

One important thing as disclosure, the aircraft IRL will slow down faster on idle due to propeller drag, although i managed to replicate the idle speeds, i cannot replicate the propeller drag with CFD due to SDK limitations, I am asking Asobo for improvements on this area for turboprops.

However if you follow the user manual approach procedures, you should be able to stay in circuit. And yes, you will need flaps to keep speed under control, is normal.

Best,
Raul

I see it in the manual now, thanks Raul!!! Flaps 20 it is. I was at flaps 10.
