FSS 727 engine won't start

Following the startup tutorials to the letter, but can’t get the engine to start. APU is on, APU bleed is on.

Flippng the Engine 2 start to ‘ground’ does nothing. I even used the crew manager to ‘before start’ but the engine still wont’ start after that. What can cause this?

Do you have a pic of the engineers panel so we can check and confirm the systems are indeed set up for start?
Other than something there, it could be a bad load in with the sim.
A restart of the flight could fix it.

It had been indeed restarted a couple times before initially flying it in order to avoid any strange issues like that so that wouldn’t be it. when i’m back at the sim i’ll post a pic of the engineering station.

but would could possibly be the cause to not allow the engine starter to run? I thought it had seemed fairly simple flow: Battery on, APU on, APU power on, APU bleed air on (positive pressure), starter to ground. Am i missing anything?

Fuel pumps on, engine fuel valves open?

Something else you might try is checking the bindings on your throttles. Go under the “mixture” menu in “Settings” and make sure everything is unassigned. MSFS (especially 2024) assigns values to certain controls and if you have a mixture control defaulted to cutoff, then one or more engines will not start. I’ve resolved starting issues with both the CRJ and MD-80 this way.
