FSX Import Showcase

If you look center bottom of windshield you can make out the crease’s in the fabric, I know its difficult to see now but easy before I edited it for vr.

Assuming it is a sun screen (looks more like missing glass/reflection texture to me but hard to tell), you would open the mdl in ModelConverterX, use the object hierarchy tool to go through the tree of model parts, find the cover, and delete it then re-export the mdl.

I removed anything that showed as a window while it was in fsx then converted to msfs but no luck. I exported after deleting. I’m adding a new photo that shows the sunscreen better! i went back with the editor in fsx and the window objects were still their, I exported back to the same file what am I doing wrong?best windshield|690x404

Ok i’m doing this but I guess I’m not exporting correctly. I’m adding a photo. I’m guessing at what to do, I’m just linking everything

back to the file.

you cannot use this cockpit anyway, as FSX imports are not clickable. why not just use a cessna’s cockpit or something instead?

Your MCX settings are wrong. You need to download the FSX SDK and under MDLWriter you need to point to the FSX XtoMDL path on your computer. You also need to point to the Modeldef.xml in the SDK eg…here’s my setup

when I click on export where do I point it to save

I just answered that

here is what I have but I still don’t know where to go when I hit export

When you hit export that saves the plane changes you made. If you converted with Legacy should see the results when you open plane in Sim

so I should use modelconverterx after I convert plane to msfs2020 and its installed to msfs 2020. RIght now when I hit export it wants to know where to export it to

You really need to read all the things folks have posted here for you. If the plane has already been converted with Legacy and you use MCX to make changes((You should have done all this prior to converting)); when you export as I said last night that saves it and you are done.
If you have everything setup right and delete the CVT Folder you would see the change in MSFS.
If not YOU DON"T HAVE IT SETUP RIGHT

Exporting is just saving a new file. You can save it anywhere you like but it needs to end up in the Community folder as part of your package.

Has anybody successfully converted the Milviz T-38?

I’m trying to import this exact aircraft. Can you tell me how you did so?
