Well did some stuff on the B-52 Not so good. She flys only straight up or down no turning.
Got rid of drag shoot, lost aleirons, Elevator out of wack, front gear and bay doors stuck.

I’ve got mine working flight control wise but haven’t got the engines sorted out - how did you get the engines to work on yours? I got my flight controls working using the MSFS202 conversion tool and using the B-52 model that uses the C-17 freeware cockpit. Happy to share info to see if we can get this beast working
Which one is this model? Is it the Glowing heat version or another type?? I wasn’t able to get my one to show up
Got the bay doors up still problem with ailerons (they seem to be in front of wing??), and front gear doesn’t go up. Tired these old 75 year old eyes arw done fro awhile.
Got to start over on the B-52 those Ailerons will not go back to where the’re supposed to be so will just start over.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve got the Captain sim one also and is working in parts mainly engine issues at the moment that I’m trying to sort out. With this Alphasim one I converted but found that it didn’t show up in MSFS 2020 - will have another go converting the textures
That is why you run it through the MCX first it makes it a FSX native plane. This is the info I’m using for the MCS,only done a few but the B-52 is having issues-
Thanks for the tip - will watch this. I’ve been using the convertor located here on nexus mods: MSFS Legacy Importer at Microsoft Flight Simulator Nexus - Mods and community
Works on most but not all with varying degrees of success. WIll certainly give the MCX a go
this is the old Cap Sim version that was released without a cockpit some years back - looks great in MSFS 2020 but still trying to sort getting the engines running
Here is a few of the ones I’ve been practicing with - having varying degrees of success in understanding what ports over and how to adjust
This is my B-52 model I created for Alphasim a long time ago. I don’t mind you trying to get it to work since it’s now freeware.
In order to get the front gear working, check to see if there are more than one contact point for the front gear.
It could also be because the aircraft was made for FS9 and so there could be random anomalies with the xml.
Good luck!
Please guys don’t share files here please , the thread might get locked because of it thanks P.s Even if it’s a freeware thanks a lot
To be perfectly honest, when I see these portovers of my models (C-117 and C-47 in pics above) I wish I had never built them.
Drool that S-3B Viking!
Help me understand…if you created a freeware plane for fsx and then you converted it, why can’t it be distributed? Maybe not here but on somewhere like flightsim.to. Or if you got the original creators permission. What are the restrictions?
I understand the problem if it’s a native fsx plane.
Sorry
The file I shared in a message(I guess not private) was a download that anyone can get just by searching.
I would think if it is from a reputable Sim site would not be a problem
if you have the permisson to use it and convert it you can but if you convert it and distributed i’ts not your work , it’s someelse work its better to ask 1st , i convert plane to play for personal use and take some nice screenshots not more but you can read the pins adn introduction in the beggging of the thread
Mister. I see that you are with several projects and you publish a link with downloads not allowed in this forum. Please refrain from sharing your aircraft with others, regardless of whether they are freeware, you do not have the author’s permission to share your modifications with everyone. You should read the forum policies and the EULAs for each aircraft.

Every plane despite being FREEWARE, the creator stipulates that NO changes can be made in any way. You can download a freeware plane and you can share it with everyone if you like, but if you make a mod and share it as personal work that is ILLEGAL, please read the EULA’s of each published plane.
