Ive got the same Vulcan but cant keep it in the air, it just nose dives, any ideas?

The guy who made a moving, sailable ship RDJ Constitution, I think he was the same guy who made the blimp. I thought I read in one of the text files that he used the flight model of the blimp to get the ship to float on the water.

Thx for posting images; even the best legacy models look much better once again in MSFS. How did you achieve the night lighting, if I may ask?
good timing. Spent part of the day adjusting the landing light intensity so fresh in my head.
No easy answer. SDK has some ways to go and at the moment, not very helpful with lightings. I think depending on what you import, the lighting solutions will also be different. So this is what I can say based on the TR Freeware A333 model. There are 2 types of lighting: static and dynamic. Static are ones you cannot control from a panel switch i.e., window lights and those are done with livery texture. The second, dynamic, is dependent on the panel. FSX native model lighting does not import or import well unless you manipulate in gITF. So what you’re seeing in my screenshot is a workaround. With the panel merge, I updated the contact points to align to the external points of the A333. Then its tweaking for intensity, angles, etc. Make sense? So why the workaround? Because I haven’t received permission from Thomas Ruth to adjust his model (i.e., in gITF), which would allow me to optimize further. Until then, I choose to respect the EULA and the current workaround serves its purpose.
I’ll be posting more tonight hopefully. Fine tuning before release to the crowd and putting my helmet on (figuratively of course)…

@RancidTea0509 Thx very much for your extensive reply! Do I get you right, you converted the model to glTF? Which converter did you take? I’m primarily interested to get the night / light map textures to work. There does not seem to be any solution for models not converted to the new glTF format …

Anyways, here are my last screenshots for TR’s awesome A333. There are lots of screens - hope the mods don’t mind. This is the latest test flight after another round of tweaks. LFBO - LEPA, flight plan with ATC. Since I haven’t heard from TR and likely never will, I decided to recognize his work differently for the release - can you spot it? ![]()
Excellent flight. Aircraft followed flight plan, maintained speed and flight level, intercepted glideslope / ILS and had the right profile for landing. Butter landing (you have to take my word for it - wink).

May have made some mistakes while converting and broke some of the model, but converted better with the latest update.
Looks good cannot wait to see that in a Delta livery!
How did you make the windows clear? And how did you get the lights aligned properly animations working?
