Fsxmap issue

I recently became aware of FSXMAP. I have run the program but I don’t get the “Status/Configure” option when the program starts and it didn’t install a shortcut on my taskbar.
As a result I am unable to plot my aircraft.
Can anyone tell me if I have done something wrong or is the program no longer working properly.
Thanks

Almost everyone I know uses Little Nav Map. Have you tried that instead? It’s also free and is really well supported because so many use it. Sorry I don’t have the answer to FSXMAP specifically, but this might help.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried LNM in the past but it seems to require a lot of effort to achieve good results. However, failing anything else I will give it another look.

FSXmap is a good alternative to LNM aircraft tracking and other features. All it needs is a small client app running on the same computer as MSFS. Personally, I do have the app client icon on my taskbar for easy access. Then access fsxmap.com in your browser. Log in to fsxmap.com. There is a link to their PDF manual in the HELP tab (right side) on the web page.

Thanks for the replies. The problem remains in my not being to open the status/configure page. It says to right-click the application the first time to bring it up but nothing happens when I try that and there isn’t any obvious link.

1 In search bar type turn windows features on or off and then select turn windows features on or off
2 If not already installed - click the checkbox .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and click OK
3 Click Let Windows Update download the files for you
4 Restart PC
5 Download FSXmap
6 Right-click on it and select properties - click the checkbox unblock > apply > ok
// Right-click FSXmapClient13.zip - select extract all > extract
7 Open folder named FSXmapClient13 and run file named SimConnect.msi (install)
8 Launch msfs - select aircraft, departure … fly.
9 Go to folder named FSXmapClient13 right-click FSXmapClient and select run as administrator

10 Click the up arrow icon in the taskbar ^

11 Right-click FSXmap icon and select Status/Configure

I’ve done all of these steps. The client starts and figures in the box in the map indicates that FSX map follows the very airplane I’ve choosen in MSFS 2020 but the airplane just does not plot in the map. Anyone who has any idea of why?

Hi - Where do I download the FSXmapClient13.Zip from? I have been on their site and logged in with my account and got the ID number but nowhere do I see a download option… Thx

1 FSXmap.com
2 click - plot my aircraft
