Fuel dump question

How do you enable fuel dump within the config files?
I have a few payware aircraft that will dump fuel either through CTRL SHIFT D or a button on my joystick.
Their files are encrypted so I cannot see how it is done.

Within the flight Model cfg it has fuel_dump_rate =.025

Yet no aircraft will dump fuel, even when 100% full on every aircraft that I have tried and has a
set dump rate.
Does it need a dump system added?

I have also tried adding: FUEL_DUMP_SWITCH_SET =1
FUEL_DUMP_SWITCH_SET =0 to no avail.

Thanks for any help.

Personal Comments

Not sure what planes you’re trying, but most small GA and even narrow body liners don’t have Dump Valves.

For the Payware planes, you could always ask on their Discord - the devs might tell you how they did it.

The FA-18.
There is a fuel dump switch, but it doesn’t dump fuel.
I know I can just lower my fuel on the tool bar, but I like the realism aspect of things when I can get them.
Thanks for the reply.

You could check the default B748; it’s unencrypted and has a dump system.

It has a dump in the cockpit so it is probably configured that way. I took the entire [fuel] section and copied it from the B747 to the FA18 flightconfig file, and nothing worked.

Might have to ask on Discord as per CasualClick above, but it isn’t a priority for me, just a “wonder how”

Thanks for helping.

Accidently hit the key I assigned to dump fuel a few times as it is next to another well used key and kept wondering why I was running out of fuel.

It seems my C152 C310 Twin Otter and a few other planes will dump fuel, but not the FA-18.
