Fuel tank selectors not working

So far, in the C172 (both G1000 and steam guage), Bonanza and Baron, I’m unable to activate the fuel selector. On the 172 and BOnanza, I’m stuck on 1 tank. For the Baron, I’m unable to activate the tanks at all to get fuel flowing at all.

Anyone else?

In Options->General Options->Accessibility is “Cockpit Interaction System” set to Legacy? If not change it to that.

Thanks for that. Will try a plane with swithable tanks again after this flight to see if that worked.

I’ll assume your solution is correct, but I give up. Still haven’t been able to make it off the ground without the sim freezing up completely forcing me to have to restart it or a CTD.

Unfortunate to hear about the CTD’s, if that setting was on “locked” though it was likely the issue. Locked mode is primarily for making the Xbox controller viable, it is not the most intuitive to use with a mouse.

Just tried. Still unable to control fuel selectors on my planes even after making the change you suggested.

Tested a variety of different accessibility settings, unable to reproduce on my end.

This is a hair pulling experience. Well, if I had hair to start with, it would be. lol

Seriously, the best I’ve managed to far is to get up to cruise altitude before the sim freezing up on me and I have to restart.

Between Xboxification of the entire interface and stability, this is really trying my patience.

OK. It seems to work in the C172 G1000 and Bonanza. Still can’t work the fuel selectors in the steam gauge version or the Baron.

I have this same issue with the Baron G58. On a cold & dark start, you cannot change the position of the fuel selector for either tank. I did originally have to change my Cockpit Interaction System to Legacy (as suggested above, as I previously couldn’t click anything), but even after that, the fuel selector tank changes the cursor to a pointer, but doesn’t react to clicks. I’m stuck on the ground after this update.

Not only doesn’t it interact with a mouse, but external events such as key binds from a controller and SimConnect events from external hardware don’t work with the selectors either.

The same problem with JustFlights Arrows (III and IV). Also on other addon-planes other buttons are not working. It’s very random. I think this stupid “lock-mode” they introduced with SU5 fu**ed up a lot and we are now stuck with a view stock planes lol. Quite the mess tbh.

The 3rd party devs are going to have to fix their planes accordingly. My Arrows and Mooney have that issue as well. But my MS planes now all work.

And after having downloaded everything in the content manager last night and again earlier today, I just got an in-game notification that there were updates. Looking at this in my content manager right now.

Looks like they’re still pushing fixes in the background.

I go the fuel selector problem on the C172 steam gauge.

Decided to come into the 21st century, so now flying the C172 G1000.

Still have to lean forward to read the GS knts etc on the Garmin screen, even with HP Reverb 2.

TIP.

Options > general options > accessibiliti > cockpit interaction system
Select LEGACY and save changes (apply and save)

Also select default mouse profile.

Go to options > controls options > mouse
Select default profile and save changes

Move cursor to tank selector and use mouse scroll wheel.

I’m unable activate the fuel selector
I have the same problem with CARENADO MOONEY M20R. I’ve tried every possible combination and there’s no way it will work.
Impossible to fly

doesn’t work for me, i don’t get that mouse icon

I have the same issue, I cant move the selector valve on the steam gauge 172… Also the trim indicator goes full deflection when toggled nose up or nose down.

Just following up on this. I’ve tried changing cockpit interaction system to legacy, and also defaulting the mouse profile as suggested by TenPatrol. (Thank you for the suggestion). I still cannot toggle the fuel selector in the G58 though. I also tried going into Profile → Content Manager and downloaded / installed all items under “Update Available”.

I did notice that when I toggle between my saved mouse profile, and the default profile, some new options show up in the default mouse profile, both dealing with the Cockpit Interaction System, but I believe these shouldn’t make a difference as I’m using Legacy. Changing between the two profiles doesn’t make a difference however, I still get a mouse “pointer” icon when hovering over the fuel selectors, but they do not respond to clicks, scrolls, etc.

The G58 is my favorite to fly and I’m really missing it. Starting with a warm engine on a runway with takeoff clearance breaks the immersion for me.

Edit: Success! OK, after all the above, apparently I needed a PC reboot for the changes to take affect. Something in the list above seems to have resolved the issue. Fuel selector now responding to clicks.
