This reminded me that a YT video I saw said ‘Ritchat / eye of the Sahara’ is Plato’s Atlantis.

If you follow Plato’s advice and sail “beyond the gates of Hercules” (Gibraltar Straights), and then turn left (instead of foolishly sailing thousands of miles straight on to nowhere), then you will shortly come to Richat.
