Is this the trueglass you’re talking about?
Because it seems a lot less realistic than what we have today in the sim

Well the concept is correct, but p3d is what it is…basically an improved fsx,so results dont shine🤣
Definitely a much needed add in the default airliners. At the moment the rain, when standing still, climbs slowly on the windshield.
Also the effect is not very realistic at all, rain drops are few and not persistent and this destroys the immersion in a heavy rain scenario.
I’m sure this platform has much more potential than p3d for these kind of visual effects, so i really look forward to some improvemets. Keep up this great work
Hello,
I just wanted to say that the wipers don’t have any effect in VR.
To reproduce just set the weather to rain and enable the wipers.
that is also in non-vr
Was it always that way? I think I can remember that they worked at a time
no, it was always like that…
It only works on the ground mostly haha
I have only seen this once in rain whilst in air. Can’t remember which Plane. Get this fixed.
Im hoping one day they will implement working wipers, as I was in CYVR and was raining quite heavily and a little difficult looking out the windshield…
The King Air has that feature.
Also the 787 and A320 (maybe more, but i did not test it yet with other planes)
So the A32NX doesn’t but stock A320 does work?
With me both versions has working wipers. They don’t work with you?
I’ve never noticed working wiper controls on any plane, just the wiper blades and no controls. Can you point out where the controls are on the 787 and A320?
If there were manuals shipped with the simulator as there usually are for third-party plane add-ons, this would be easier.
They move … okay, but they don’t wipe … stupid There really should be a “water is gone” effect for a moment and then rain again. Asobo would have to build that into the Sim
On the A320 neo there’s an overhead switch in the lower-right labeled “wiper” with options “off, slow, fast”. It has an “inop” tooltip and can’t be moved. Is this it?
[Update] There’s an identical control in the lower-left which does operate. The wipers do move. No idea if they function for getting rain off the surface yet.
[Update 2] Can confirm they do nothing to get rain off the windshield:
Yeah but maybe its the rain thats broke and not the wipers ;p
That is what I’m referring too, yes the wipers move…but they do not remove the water…
Exactly, unfortunately!
