ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Creating a HOLD in-flight while on a GPS flight plan, using the G1000 across multiple aircraft, corrupts the flight plan, even with Navigraph AIRAC uninstalled. First on COWS DA-42, then reproduced on stock SR22T. Then removed Navigraph AIRAC, and issue recurred.
Depart KCRQ, then DIR OCN, then follow until on the leg to SLI VOR
Open the HOLD form for POPPR wpt, use the default selections, do not activate the hold until after crossing SLI and until the leg to POPPR is active. Then activate the hold. The flight plan will “scramble” and go completely out of order, and the aircraft will no longer be on course.

I have just confirmed that the same issue occurs in MSFS 2020, notably. Does this have something to do with creating a HOLD on a WPT that is part of a Victor Airway? I’m starting to wonder about that. Really hoping for the community to engage on this one.
** Note: this issue is associated with the use of Airways when creating the FP. When I create the same FP but manually enter every WPT (not using an airway), the issue does not occur.
**Also, I confirmed that this does not have anything to do with a Simbrief FP import. I reproduced this behavior by manually creating the FP with the V23 airway.
What happens is that when I create a HOLD at a wpt within the victor airway, it splits the airway section into two sections. Then when I remove that HOLD and create a HOLD at a wpt in the second section (ex: SLI) it completely scrambles the wpts out of order from that point.

I also have confirmed that these issues occur on other airways, such as a TEC route in SoCal from KCMA to KSBD, which includes two airways. These airways also get split, and the legs get messed up as well when those splits occur.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
