G1000 wrong airplane icon on map display

SIM INFORMATION

• Game Platform (Steam, Xbox, MS Store): : MS Store

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

1. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
   Yes

2. If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
   G1000 aircraft like Cessna 172 G1000, Bechcraft Baron G58, Cessna Grand Caravan EX etc.

3. Description of the issue:
   The icon which represent airplane on map display is wrong. It should show an airplane and point de direction of flight. Insted it show a white circle

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you? (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)
Every time on sim

REPRODUCTION STEPS

1. Free flight, career etc. no matter which one
2. Start flight from cold&dark or right runway, same issue
3. I waited for G1000 10-15 minutes to initialize and nothing changed

• Same happening with my set up, I fly with Cessna 172. Not sure if it is possible to change it, if not, this seems to be a bug. It is really annoying to use this dot icon system, especially for beginner. Thank you

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged

For all planes, the g1000 map displays a gray disc vs the aircraft symbol. there’s no way to adjust the symbol or determine heading by looking at the map unless you look at trk. its a bug and should be fixed.

I think the only aircraft which shows the correct icon (aircraft instead ‚grey disc‘) is the sr22 by working title… who would have thought. This has to be pushed to each and every dev who uses g1000.
Why on earth this bug is still on the c172 for example is hard to comprehend.
Fix it consistently for all planes and save us from the situation that this is still a thing in months (or years) to come. Please!

Xbox - MS2024 - career missions - no addons - brand new Xbox console.

I have noticed that the Garmin map is not showing the plane icon as it should. All I’ve got is a round circular grey dot. Makes it much harder to see clearly on the map and also direction.

Same thing. No change with latest updates (1.2.8.0). I got lost twice and once crashed while trying to understand which direction I was flying to.

It is usually a feature of the Garmin when the GPS doesn’t work.

Currently using the SU1 Beta. You told us in your Release Notes:
