G1000NXI display units integrated lighting brightness

Is the brightness of the integrated backlighting on the display units of the G1000 coupled to the brightness setting of the screens themselves? I did a night flight yesterday in the kodiak 100 and the autopilot and comms panel backlighting was way brighter than the backlighting of the knobs on the display units themselves, which I found to be a little hard to read. Adjusting the knobs on the lighting panel didn’t make a difference for the DU backlighting. I’ve included a picture for reference.

I’m not exactly seeing the same issue in the stock NXi/C-172. It appears to me, in the stock 172 that turning the “avionics” lighting dial turns those lights up/down. The effect isn’t dramatic, but they do seem to dial down using that control. I don’t have the plane you’re using, so I can’t verify it.
Regards

Not sure if we’re talking about the same thing but I found an avionics brightness knob under the MFD, behind the yoke, on the Bonanza, Didn’t seem to do much when I turned it but it was daytime.
