G36 Improvement Project

While taxing, apply fuel toe brake to stop the plan.

Hold it still for a while (I was chatting with atc), after that you are stuck.

I tried different combinations on how to apply the breaks and seems to happen only when both breaks are used all the way.

I tried all Irish airports to discard any taxiway related issue.

With the mod, I noticed that the plane seems to be stiffer while manuvering, but not sure if it is related.

I removed all mods now and will test again with a fresh download of G1000 + G36 0.6.

Will report back in a few minutes.

Thanks for the quick response!!!

@Djorous, @FrettFS, I have had this issue only few times. Last time when I could not move, I paused and unpaused simulation and the problem was solved and the plane could move again. I don’t know if this is a solution (or work around), maybe somebody else can try it, when it happens.

That was it!! I’ve been flying the M20 and all the mods without any problem reversed to ā€œlegacyā€ mode, very strange.
Anyway guys sorry for my mistake and thanks a lot for the help and the mod.
Safe flights!

I tried but still stuck.

Also happening after cleaning up the mods and re-downloading.

Tried that and all other different combinations of braking, but I can’t get stuck somehow.

I was expecting that, no one else complained about it.

I will try a clean up and maybe re-install everything.

Thanks for your time!!

@Djorous, I will try again to get stuck. Your not the only one.

So now we’re all trying to get stuck basically…

That doesn’t like progress :stuck_out_tongue:

@Bas756 and @FrettFS, let’s all get stuck together!!

I am sorry, tried and tried but I can’t get stuck for the moment. Maybe later…Now I will fly some more in this fine modified G36

Thanks for the help!

I have the tendency to get stuck more often than everyone else :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I am doing a full reinstall to clear another error and will check again.

Really appreciate all the support, you guys rock!

The legacy flight model is to allow imported FSX aircraft to kind of work. It changes a lot of things about the flight model, which aircraft are not tested against (both the stock aircraft and add-ons). As Asobo further tweaks the moden flight model aircraft for things like pitch sensitivity, etc, it seems to be causing even more problems in the legacy mode.

I have an open Wishlist item that people can vote on to change how this feature is presented/made available to reduce confusion - Move 'legacy' flight model option out of UI and into aircraft XML or .cfg, or label more clearly what it is for

Since this thread well read by the Bonanza enthusiasts, could a few of you check out if the ILS approach is now well below the proper glide slope? I’ve tried two approaches since the recent patch update and both times the ILS tried to put me into the ground short of the runway. I posted about it here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/bonanza-ils-just-tried-to-fly-me-into-the-ground-a-new-feature-of-update-1-10-7/312769

@StevoSim, Yes, ILS is below proper GS, see messages from @MrTommymxr and me due to modifications in last update from Asobo the parameters and work from @MrTommymxr are down the drain. I’ m at this moment testing standard PID setting from Asobo in this mod 0.6 from @FrettFS . Still a landing with a lot of crosswind just now, the GS was to low. I will try to change some Asobo GS PID parameters and try again. I’m not sure that the problem can be solved only with some modified GS PID parameters… to be continued

I actually just did a quick test with VS after removing this and the G1000 mod. The stock G36 autopilot held 600fpm climb as set, and also held 600 fpm descend correctly.

I don’t wanna file a Zendesk report quite yet if it is in fact this mod.

Okay, I’ll try that later as well. Not sure if all of this is reproducible, so will first create a setup to start from (no wind, spawn at altitude etc.) to make sure that other variables are ruled out.
There are people reporting issues with the DA62 mod as well, not sure where it originates.

All of it sounds a little like the issues with the units when changed to metric - then the AP has also issues to hold correct altitude etc.
Maybe the mods need adjustments due to changes done in terms of these units somewhere in the files that are overridden by the mods.

@FrettFS do you have the Asobo version before the patch to compare if they changed something to the vanilla aircraft that needs to be merged into the mod? I remember that you created such backups to create diffs?

@LivingFood, yes, I think for the moment it’s in the mod , but due to changes from the update 5. Probably @FrettFS will modify. (see message from @MrTommymxr). I think this will be solved soon. :slightly_smiling_face:

Already did that, but I now realize that I didnt have the ai.cfg backed up, because this was never part of the mod before 0.6.

The default ai.cfg is the best we have then.

Here are the Default PID values.

How to

  1. Head to your ā€œCommunity\bonanza-g36-improvement-project\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Bonanza_G36ā€ Folder

  2. Open ai.cfg with Wordpad

  3. Remove everything and copy paste the block below
