G58 Baron Improvement Project

Could you post a link to the POH you are using for the aircraft? Thanks!

Thank you!

I know this is a lot more complex than what you’ve been doing so far, but I’d love to see a steam gauge version like there was in FSX.

No keep the very nice g1000 nxi. Dont know why everybody is jumping on the old antic instruments
Besides that the aircraft is still encrypted, only config files are changeable !

I find flying with a GPS boring, connect the AP to the red line, snooze until the landing phase. But agreed, this airplane, as it is, can’t really go steam gauge. Maybe someone will add a steam gauge Baron in the future.

Great question! I will ask internally and see if there are plans from the SDK team to share some insight into this. Thank you!

Thanks @Jummivana - don’t want to share anything I shouldn’t

Confirming that the SDK team is looking into a response and will post it here when they have it: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/questions/11140/baron-improvement-mod-what-files-can-i-distribute.html

Looks like you have to wait for an answer from Asobo a long time.

I would like to see a G58 Turbo.

You could always just edit the engine.cfg and change turbocharge=0 to =1 and then adjust critical altitude and max mp to your liking. Heck, you could even have a fictional baron that cruises at 296kts if you wanted.

U can use this as a template

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/609559-bonanza-turbo-v4-su6-released/

In the FSX days… you could even edit the gauge, needle arc, and background bitmap, for a turbo-charged MP gauge..

any chance the mod is gonna be released ? thanks !

It’s still being worked on, I am currently working on the electrical system and wider aircraft systems, from there I need to start flight testing and dialling in the flight model.

These mods take time alongside working, home life, and other mods; it will get there, but patience is key.

I have no idea how you do that.
