as i said previously some where, different controllers, different sensitivities, different feelings
If i can ask you for sure, what rudder axis you have set there? I see only roll, pitch and rest is unchanged to default. Hope I see your screenshot correctly.
The slip indicator doesn’t work either on C172 or Bonanza B35V.
When I turn the ball stays in the center even if I have set up hard flying parameters and no automatic rudder. Worse when I apply rudder left or right the plane banks left or right and turns. This is not how it works at all. If you apply rudder the plane slips that’s all and loses altitude for the same power setting. Even when I select the most complex flight model, the planes react like a toy not like a plane. This is not at all a flight simulator to me so far. May be I don’t know how to set up the flight model but I have tried hard but still the flight model has nothing to do with a real general aviation plane. I played before with FSX and the previous one and I didn’t have this issue. At the time it was a flight simulator. Any idea what’s wrong now ? I am a ga pilot.
Ground roll is not well-modelled regardless of peripheral sensitivities. I find the landing assist option provides a more realistic feel but that also cancels out much of cross-wind component too. And it allows the yoke to steer the aircraft which isn’t realistic and doesn’t allow practicing aileron position during taxi. (Normally, depending of wind direction in relation to your ground taxi, a Cessna pilot will set the ailerons left of right.) But without landing assist, it’s like the aircraft has no weight, inertia nor wind flow over the horizontal stabilizer that normally keep the aircraft straight in a roll-out.
I sure hope they work on the flight models. It is getting a bit frustrating. Every update they seem to make it worse, not better. They really need a sim update where they focus on improving the flight model. I have hope though. Sometimes when developing something, performance gets worse initially then it suddenly gets really good when the pieces come together. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for your answer but modern setup doesn’t make any difference. Is your MSFS working fine on this regard ? You should need to apply rudder in a turn to keep the ball centered and pull a bit the yoke to maintain altitude.
Thanks for your answer but I am using Xbox X with Thrusmaster yoke, throttle and rudder pedals.
