Game Crashes after Quick Resume

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: [Note: This was previously a bug report however that got closed when I thought it was fixed… however it wasn’t…] When I exit MSFS 2024 on my Xbox Series S, turn off my Xbox, and come back, instead of quick resume, well, quick resuming, it freezes, and generally crashes, or I have to restart it. Other games on my Xbox that are compatible with the game actually continue where I left off, but with MSFS 2024, it doesn’t matter what screen I was on, it will freeze.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This occurs every time I turn off my Xbox and try to come back later. It literally says it is in quick resume.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Enter the game, and go to any screen (most likely a menu screen)
  2. Turn off the Xbox Series S or go to another game
  3. Resume the game to view the frozen screen

• Quick resume on Xbox Series X causes game to crash for FS24. Doesn’t happen on FS20

Yes same issue. Game resumes and a second later crashes.

Same. It crashes after a few seconds

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• I have a crashing issue also when resuming a flight.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I have the issue with my PC based XBox MSFS 2024. If I want to make some changes I’ll press the escape key, select settings, change or even just verify a setting not changing, then select resume the screen will go black and taking off my VR headset I’ll see the software has crashed and I’m sitting at the PLAY window again.
