I’ve noticed something the last 5 nights, every night, shortly after midnight, the game crashes with a “unexpected error” 308-400-00207. It’s happened consistently, enough to not be random. Does anyone else have this problem?
In the UK, the game runs better in the morning (0900-1400 UCT) than in the late afternoon and evening (1600-2300).
It is highly likely that you are losing your internet connection during this time. During this period, your IP address may change if you do not have a static IP configured or a longer lease period set, such as a seven-day lease or forever.
Most internet providers use dynamic IP allocation (DHCP).

Thanks for the reply, I can assure you it’s none of the above. I’m wired to a enterprise router which is connected to a 1 gb symmetrical fiber connection. I work in tech and all of my external ssh sessions are still connected and smokeping (SmokePing - About SmokePing) does not show any dropped packets to the outside world.
Others are experiencing the same issue here.

Thank you so much for the info and the link to Reddit.
I recommend testing MSFS 2024 in free flight mode for 2–3 days during the hours when you usually encounter the issue. After that, try repeating the same test in career mode during the same time frame. This comparison might help identify if the problem is specific to one mode or consistent across both.
I tried your suggestion, just on a shorter time frame. Last night I jumped into free mode between midnight and 12:30 am, didn’t experience a crash. Tonight I went back to career mode and at 12:06 am, crash.
Evidence points towards something related to career mode.
Everything points to a bug in career mode. If you have time, test free flight and career mode for another three to four days.
It’s also possible that something is being reset, or that a change of day in career mode is causing CTD.
Will continue testing when I can. Also just to add more information, the error does not cause CTD, just boots you back to the menu.
I didn’t test it last night. I came across this related thread tonight.
This happens to me too at local midnight, CET.
I spotted this pretty early on, not done date boundary crossing missions in the last 10 days because of it.
Interesting that this is not a widely experienced issue - either only a small number of users is affected or people don’t tend to do missions at local midnight.

Same thing happened to me last night, just after midnight UK time. End of a two hour flight, just as I was pulling into the parking bay. Xbox almost went out the window
Guys I came up with a fix faster than Asobo – more details below.

Avoid playing in Career mode between 2330Z and 0030Z
Thank you all for confirming it is still there. I will not trust any claims of it being fixed until some success reports here.
