Game crashes on long haul flights xbox

So I have done now a couple of long haul flights on the xbox. The game ultimately crashes.

There are 3 constants.

The planes navigation screen & autopilot stop working.
The game starts lagging (drop of frames)
then the game just crashes.

Can someone explain why this is? Is it because I am on the Xbox series S so there could graphical reasons/limitations. Is this a known bug? Any setting adjustments that I should make?
