Microsoft store gaming services wont install so neither will my game this is appalling .

I assume that when you run the sim, the Microsoft store shows up on the gaming services page?
Please be more clear, and tell us what you tried to do… are you a first time user ? If not, what happens if you uninstall Game Services and install again via Add or Remove Programs ?
No gaming services is attempting to update but gets stuck and wont install or run
Try going to the task manager, go to the services tab. Find Gaming Services and if they are not started, right click - start.

it says stopped and when i right click start is there but it wont accept it
Ok go to your task manager (the symbol in the start menu) and right click on it, tell “Run as Administrator” and try again.
A reboot might be necessary.
Haven’t encountered many instances where that was happening…

Do you have pending windows updates? Make sure those are done first.
no im up to date . Gaming services is disabled in task manager and it wont re enable . Ive lost my flight sim now this is ridiculous it really is .
One last option is to reinstall the gaming services.
You will have to open PowerShell in admin mode (the same way ArcanePython931 showed above).
Once open, paste these commands separately:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
It will reinstall the game services and should hopefully solve your issue.
Did you read my last submit ? Services should allow you to start them, IF you execute Task Manager as administrator.
it got so far then stopped with error code 0x80073D26
To everyone who tried to help , thanks a lot i really appreciate you giving your time . I finally sorted it with a regedit deletion . Now downloading the game again although a lot of the old files still appear to be there . Are they being duplicated ?
You might want to make sure the install folder is clean before doing a new installation. It could very well be duplicating, even tho there is a system that is supposed to read and not redownload the files that are already downloaded.

existing files are skipped (Not downloaded) if all things works as intended. Don’t worry about existing content, integrity is validated after each download chunk, using a checksum.
i used a new folder . Will the sim detect files already there eg asobo default aircraft . There is a folder with them already in it .
