Does anyone know how to get a flight plan onto the Garmin 1000 units in free flight in 2024?
In 2020 I would just select a departure and destination airport on the world map and when I loaded into the plane the Garmin would have a basic flight plan already loaded.
Now in 2024 it only seems to have the final approach loaded?
I’ve tried using hte EFB but even though that seems to have the full flight plan and I tell it to notify ATC and to load it to the avionics, when I get into the plan the Garmin still only has the final approach.
Also ATC doesn’t seem to be able to handle the flight at all, it seems completely unaware of where I am, giving instructions way too late.
I’ve tried on both the DA62 and the G36.
Am I missing something here? Has anyone got this working?

Flight plan definition has completely changed in 2024 (grr, killed my app) so I expect it is bugs because of that. I have a very hit and miss experience with it. Mostly miss.
I normally try and setup my plan in the cockpit. That works better but that can also fail badly, and I can’t see what causes it yet.
I managed to get a simple flight plan imported via the EFB, but once I passed the final waypoint before the approach, the AP blew off flying towards the approach, set the active waypoint to the MAP, turned and headed away from the MAP.
Mind you, too, that the final waypoint was a significant distance from the IAF, so it wasn’t some pilot in command error.
