Garmin 3000 and Tablet Unit Sync Issue Leading to Crash

# ISSUE DESCRIPTION

When changing the unit of measurement to kilograms (kg) on the Garmin 3000 and the tablet simultaneously, the tablet reverts back to pounds (lb). If I then attempt to change the units on the tablet again, the simulator crashes.

This issue affects aircraft like the Cirrus Vision Jet and the Cessna Citation Longitude, which use the Garmin 3000 and the in-flight tablet for settings.

# AIRCRAFT AFFECTED

Cirrus Vision Jet, Cessna Citation Longitude.

# FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time when switching units between the Garmin 3000 and the tablet.

# REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Start a flight with either the Cirrus Vision Jet or the Cessna Citation Longitude.
  2. Set the units of measurement to kilograms (kg) on the Garmin 3000.
  3. Confirm that the tablet already shows kilograms (kg).
  4. Observe that the tablet reverts to pounds (lb).
  5. Attempt to manually reset the tablet back to kilograms (kg).
  6. Simulator crashes.

# NOTES FOR THE TEAM

This issue may not affect all users, but it’s worth addressing as it can cause confusion and frustration, especially for pilots who prefer kilograms (kg) as their unit of measurement. This is particularly relevant for users outside the US.

Thank you to the development team for all the hard work on MSFS 2024—I’m confident these refinements will make the simulator even better!
